Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Tenerse private membership society, including the Tenerse website, the Tenerse KYC Portal, the Foremostcard, the Tenerse Coin programme, and any related services.

Last updated: 1 January 2025

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, requesting an invitation, completing verification, or otherwise using any Tenerse service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies referenced here. If you do not agree, you must not use the services.

1. About Tenerse

Tenerse is a private global membership society built on verified human identity, privacy protection, and respectful connection between adults. Tenerse is not a dating service, social network, matchmaking platform, or public directory. Membership is invitation-based and subject to verification, review, and approval.

References to "Tenerse", "we", "us", and "our" mean the legal entity operating the Tenerse services. References to "you" and "Member" mean the natural person who accesses or uses the services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher), to use Tenerse. You must have full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You must not be barred from receiving the services under the laws of your country of residence, the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, or any other applicable jurisdiction.

You may not use Tenerse if you appear on any applicable sanctions list, are subject to relevant restrictive measures, or are located in a jurisdiction in which provision of the services would be unlawful. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate access at our discretion to comply with law.

3. Accounts and verification

Membership requires completion of the Tenerse KYC Portal, which may include age verification, government identification checks, facial authentication, address validation, sanctions and fraud screening, and biometric enrollment. Verification is performed by Tenerse and trusted third-party providers acting as data processors.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, to keep that information up to date, and to cooperate with reasonable additional checks. Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information is a material breach of these Terms and may be reported to relevant authorities.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us without undue delay of any suspected unauthorised access.

4. Member conduct

Tenerse exists to protect respectful, lawful, and private human connection. You agree not to:

  • harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or defame any person;
  • solicit romantic, sexual, or commercial transactions outside the purpose of the society;
  • impersonate any person, misrepresent your identity, or attempt to bypass verification;
  • collect, scrape, copy, publish, or otherwise process information about other members;
  • use the services for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or discriminatory purposes;
  • upload malware, attempt to penetrate or disrupt the services, or probe security controls;
  • circumvent technical access controls, rate limits, or jurisdictional restrictions.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend, restrict, or terminate access without prior notice where necessary to protect members or comply with law.

5. Privacy and member visibility

Visibility of other members is conditional on verification. Until your identity has been approved, you cannot see member profiles, photographs, names, or contact details. Once verified, your visibility of others, and theirs of you, is governed by the privacy and visibility rules described in our Privacy Policy and within the Tenerse application.

You must not record, screenshot for redistribution, scrape, or share any member information outside the Tenerse environment without that member's express consent.

6. Fees, payments, and refunds

Certain features, tiers, or items, including Foremostcard issuance and membership tiers, may require payment. Prices, taxes, and billing terms are presented before purchase. Unless expressly stated or required by law (including statutory rights of withdrawal under EU and UK consumer law), fees for completed verification, issued physical items, or consumed services are non-refundable.

You authorise us and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method. You are responsible for any taxes, duties, and currency conversion costs applicable in your jurisdiction.

7. Tenerse Coin

The Tenerse Coin programme, where offered, is an internal society utility intended solely for use inside the Tenerse environment. It is not offered as a security, investment contract, deposit, e-money, or regulated financial instrument, and is not available in jurisdictions where such offering would require additional authorisation. Programme rules, eligibility, and regional availability are governed by separate documentation incorporated by reference.

8. Intellectual property

The Tenerse name, the Foremostcard, logos, designs, software, content, and all related materials are owned by Tenerse or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the services for personal, non-commercial membership purposes. All other rights are reserved.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Tenerse a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display that content strictly as necessary to operate the services and enforce these Terms.

9. Third-party services

The services rely on third-party providers, including identity verification vendors, hosting providers, payment processors, and communications platforms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control, and their use is subject to their own terms.

10. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time through the application or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms, for legal or safety reasons, or where continued provision would be commercially unreasonable. Upon termination, your right to use the services ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute resolution.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Verification reduces but does not eliminate risk. You remain responsible for your own conduct and decisions in relation to other members.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tenerse, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or related to the services, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability for all claims arising in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Tenerse in that period, or (b) one hundred Pounds Sterling (GBP 100).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Tenerse harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the services, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the next paragraph, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose laws grant you mandatory protections, you also benefit from any non-waivable rights under the laws of your country of habitual residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Nothing in this section deprives you of those rights.

Where required by applicable consumer law, the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

15. International access

Tenerse is operated from the United Kingdom. We make no representation that the services are appropriate or available in any particular location. You access the services on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. We may restrict availability in any jurisdiction at any time.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the application, by email, or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
